When it started

It all started over 26 years ago when Rui and Susan Lin arrived in UK. They initially worked in restaurants in London China town for a few months as chefs and doing the dishes, with not much experience in cooking as both were engineers in China, they had to learn on the job!

First opening

They opened their first Chinese take away in Calloway, the sign is still there today and was hand carved by Rui. After this they opened a few more take away shops, perfecting the take away recipes that their customers love.

About 7 years ago Rui and Susan opened their first buffet restaurant, Beijing Banquet in Danderhall. It wasn’t an easy project, with the contractor running away with all the money mid-way through the renovation! All was not lost as they powered through and now the restaurant is one of our most popular.

Whole family

Now the whole family is involved! Rui and Susan have roped in their 3 children to help out in the business too. Peter works on the IT system, Fiona is the marketing and social media guru and Alice works sometimes as a waitress.

Our ethos

The main ethos of our restaurants is around family experience, our restaurants are a destination restaurant where every member of the family has a great time. We have high quality standards when it comes to our recipes and ingredients, we want to create the best experience for all our customers. Our menu changes according to the season and what’s fresh. That’s why our customers keep coming back for more!
